Arbitrage and +EV alerts at $199.99 a month against matched betting software at $35.

Degen to Pro vs Outmatched

DegenToPro and Outmatched both serve Australian bettors. They aim at different things. DegenToPro is an arbitrage and positive-EV alert service delivered through Discord, with a tips feed at the centre of it. Outmatched is a matched betting platform built around an odds matcher, dutching software, calculators and a free academy. The price gap is roughly six times. And before you weigh either one, there's a harder question sitting underneath both: how long do your Australian bookmaker accounts survive once you start winning?

What is DegenToPro?

DegenToPro (degentopro.com) is an Australian arbitrage, +EV and racing promo platform with a Discord community it describes as 6,000+ members. Alerts go to your phone rather than expecting you to refresh a dashboard. It's more than a tips group.

What they actually ship, based on their own site:

  • A +EV and arbitrage screener covering 10+ sports, with fair-odds comparison, edge ranking and filters.
  • Middles, Market EV, a multi builder and a pick'em tool for player props, each priced against fair value.
  • Racing software at racing.degentopro.com that ranks Australian racing markets by expected value, with bonus-back, free-bet and cash modes, and a live Betfair comparison in cash mode.
  • A promos tracker and 7-day promo calendar across Australian bookmakers, plus Discord race alerts sent roughly 15 minutes before a promo race jumps, with the runner and stake pre-calculated.
  • Nine calculators including arbitrage, Kelly criterion, hedge and back/lay, EV and no-vig, an odds converter and a bonus bet converter.
  • A bet tracker with auto-grading, P&L charts, ROI, and a live community leaderboard.
  • Custom index weightings, letting you choose which sharp books and exchanges shape your fair-odds model.

That's a real feature set. Their site also runs a public results tracker and a wall of member screenshots, all of which is marketing rather than audited performance. Self-reported community results select hard for the people doing well.

Pricing compared

Pricing checked September 2026 from their site. Prices change, confirm on their site before subscribing.

DegenToPro publishes its pricing clearly:

  • Free, $0: a preview of the racing and sports software, deposit offers, the 7-day promo calendar, bet tracker and leaderboard, and private Discord access. No card required.
  • Pro Access, $299.99/month: official sports and racing tips, real-time +EV and arbitrage alerts, the full odds screener, promo tracker and deposit offers list. Cancel anytime.
  • Founders Lifetime, $799.99 (advertised as reduced from $999), a one-off payment adding sharp money drops, value multis, an SGM maximiser, market EV, pick'em, all three racing modes and a 1:1 strategy call. Application form, limited seats.
  • The Accelerator: price listed as TBC.
  • Elite 90-Day Bootcamp: application-only mentorship with 1-on-1 coaching and weekly calls. The price for this tier is not published publicly. You have to apply and book a discovery call.

Outmatched's pricing is $0/month free (2 bookmakers on the odds matcher, basic calculators, horse racing software, intro academy), $25/month Premium (15 bookmakers, advanced calculators, premium academy, full Discord) and $35/month Diamond (100+ bookmakers, complete academy, all premium features, signup bonus guides).

The lifetime option changes that maths. At $799.99 once, it breaks even against DegenToPro's own monthly plan in under three months, and against Outmatched Diamond in a little under two years. If you're confident you'll still be betting in three years, that's a defensible purchase. It carries the usual lifetime-deal risk: it's worth whatever the business is worth in five years, and it assumes your bookmaker accounts last that long, which is the section below.

Bookmaker coverage

The two platforms count different things, so the headline numbers aren't comparable.

DegenToPro's marketing cites 200+ bookmakers supported on its odds screener, a 7-day promo calendar spanning 100+ bookies, and a deposit offers list covering 100+ bookmakers. Their FAQ, however, says racing coverage runs across 20+ bookmakers, and their own feature table advertises "20+ Australian bookmakers covered". The larger numbers appear to include international and sharp books used to build the fair-odds model, not Australian books you can actually open an account with. That's a reasonable design choice for +EV betting, since you need sharp reference prices, but it means the headline figure isn't a bookmaker count in the sense a matched bettor cares about.

Outmatched counts Australian bookmakers you can bet with: 2 on the free tier, 15 on Premium at $25/month, and 100+ on Diamond at $35/month. Every one of those is a bookmaker whose promotions the odds matcher will price against Betfair Australia for you.

If your strategy is working through signup offers and promotions across as many Australian accounts as possible, Outmatched's number is the relevant one, and it's both broader and far cheaper. If your strategy is finding arbs and +EV across a handful of books you already hold, DegenToPro's sharp-book modelling is the relevant capability.

The structural difference: DegenToPro ships no matched betting odds matcher and no dutching software. Their racing tool compares bookmaker prices to the live Betfair midpoint in cash mode, which overlaps, but the product is built for arbitrage and +EV rather than systematically converting bonus bets. Outmatched ships no bet tracker. These are complementary products more than substitutes.

Where Outmatched is plainly ahead: a broader tool set than nearly anything else in this comparison, for $35 a month. Real-time odds matcher against Betfair Australia, dutching software, back/lay calculator, true odds calculator, multi EV calculator, horse racing tools on every tier including free, the complete academy at no cost and a Discord that's free for everyone. 100+ Australian bookmakers at that price is the deepest local coverage going. DegenToPro's monthly plan is $299.99 for 20+ Australian books.

The Limiting Problem That Decides This

Arbitrage and +EV both assume something that doesn't hold for long in Australia: that a bookmaker will keep taking your bets.

Arb and +EV betting is trivially easy for a bookmaker to spot. You take the top price in the market over and over. You stake odd, non-round amounts because a calculator worked them out. You bet within minutes of a line moving. That pattern doesn't look like a punter. It looks like exactly what it is.

Once they see it, they cut you. Max stake drops to a few dollars, or the account is closed. A 4% edge on a $2 maximum bet is eight cents. Australia is a small market run by a handful of operators (Sportsbet, Ladbrokes and Neds, Bet365, TAB, PointsBet, Unibet) and they're aggressive about it.

  • It happens fast here. Weeks, sometimes less. Arbing is quicker than anything else, because it's visibly against bookmaker terms and the detection is easy. DegenToPro says so themselves in their FAQ.
  • The strategy has a short lifespan per account. You burn through the six or seven operators that matter, and then the software has nothing left to work with. The screener still finds edges. You just can't get money on them.
  • Your subscription doesn't shrink when your accounts do. $299.99 a month buys a signal feed that assumes open accounts at full stakes. It bills every month. Your accounts don't last every month. Once you're limited you're paying full price for alerts you can stake $10 into. The $799.99 lifetime deal carries the same exposure, prepaid.
  • Matched betting is different in kind. You're claiming promotions the bookmaker is actively advertising to acquire customers, so your account reads as bonus chasing. The value is front-loaded into signup offers and captured early. Restrictions come eventually, but you've banked the bulk of it by then.

This is why EV and arb software is a poor buy for most Australians. The account lifespan is too short to justify a recurring four-figure annual fee. The better spend is the tool that helps you extract signup and promotional value across 100+ bookmakers while those accounts are fresh. We cover the detail in our piece on getting banned from sports betting.

Where DegenToPro is the better choice

Three situations, all real:

  • You want arbitrage and +EV, not matched betting. Once the signup offers are gone and your promotional access dries up, value betting is the natural next step and DegenToPro is built for it, with the alerts and auto-tracking Outmatched doesn't do. See positive EV betting for why most long-term bettors make that switch.
  • You want alerts and tracking done for you. A ping 15 minutes before a promo race with the runner and stake pre-calculated, plus auto-graded bets and a P&L chart, removes the spreadsheet chore that kills most people's consistency.
  • Props and multi building. Outmatched doesn't tool for these, and the Elite bootcamp offers 1-on-1 coaching Outmatched has no equivalent to.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is DegenToPro a tipping service?

It's a hybrid. It sends official sports and racing tips to members through Discord, which is tipping-service behaviour. It also gives you the underlying software (screener, racing EV grid, calculators, tracker) so you can find your own plays. That's a better deal than a pure tips group, where you're only ever renting someone else's opinion. Note that access to all of it ends when the subscription does.

Can I use both DegenToPro and Outmatched?

Yes, and there's a sensible order: Outmatched Diamond first, to open and monetise accounts across a wide spread of bookmakers, then DegenToPro for arbs and +EV once your promotional access dries up. Doing it the other way round burns your accounts before you've extracted the signup value.

Which one is better for a complete beginner?

Outmatched, clearly. Matched betting on signup offers is the lowest-variance way to start, the academy is free, the Discord costs nothing, and you can begin on the $0 tier. Arbitrage and +EV both need a larger bankroll, a tolerance for short-term swings, and accounts that stay open. Our guide on whether you can make money with matched betting sets realistic expectations for the first few months.

Is any of this legal in Australia?

Matched betting, arbitrage and value betting are all legal for Australian residents. Bookmakers are entitled to restrict or close accounts at will, which is a commercial risk rather than a legal one, and it's the risk that matters most to your returns. See is matched betting legit for the detail on legality and tax treatment.

The Bottom Line

On value for money and Australian bookmaker coverage, Outmatched wins comfortably. 100+ bookmakers at $35 a month against $299.99. A free academy. A Discord that costs nothing at any tier. And a full tool suite you keep using at the free tier if you ever stop paying. Paying nearly six times as much for a narrower Australian bookmaker list and no odds matcher is a hard case to make.

The limiting problem sharpens it further. Arb and +EV accounts get cut in weeks, and the invoice keeps arriving after they do. Promotional value is the one part of Australian betting you can reliably bank before the bookmaker reacts, and extracting it across 100+ books is exactly what Outmatched is built for.

Where that flips: if you've already exhausted the promotions, want arbs pushed to your phone, want bets auto-tracked or want hands-on mentorship, DegenToPro does things Outmatched doesn't do at all. The $799.99 lifetime option is a far more rational purchase than $299.99 a month, because it caps your exposure to the account-lifespan problem. Pick the model first, then compare prices within it. The full standalone breakdown is in our DegenToPro review.
